A series of activities to achieve the objective includes development of a user-friendly booklet; holding on-site meetings with the local residents; organization of seminars for the local activists to introduce them to the legal requirements;

Seminar "Protect your right to live in a healthy environment"
Transparency International Anti-corruption Center (TIAC) hosted seminars "Protect your right to live in a healthy environment" on September 6, 8 and 15. The seminar conducted by Lena Nazaryan, TIAC Project Assistant was designed to raise the participants' awareness on the process of decision making in urban development, citizens' rights and the base of those rights. They were also informed on the state structures and constructors' obligations, the liability they were due to take on, the measures the citizens take, as well as the required contacts.
Is your right to live in a healthy environment protected?
Within the framework of "Promoting the Human Right to Live in a Healthy Environment" project Transparency International Anti-corruption Center published a booklet, which includes all necessary information regarding protection of one's right to live in a health environment. The publication might be useful to refer to if it is intended to erect buildings on the site of green areas adjoining one's residence, and as a result, trees and bushes are cut or damaged, playground is destroyed, recreation zone is ruined or illumination of one's house is endangered. It will help to prevent the negative changes affecting one's vital activity on a legal basis and through civic protest.
