Corruption risks in business sector
On December 10-11, 2015 Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director and Khachik Harutyunyan, Expert of Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) took part in “Corruption risks in the business sector and integrity issues in Armenia” workshop held in Aghveran. Varuzhan Hoktanyan welcomed the participants with opening remarks. According to Hoktanyan corruption in business mainly stems from the chosen economic model. It is possible to reduce corruption by promoting free market relations. Khachik Harutyaunyan made a presentation on “How to control corruption risks and ensure integrity within external environment of business organizations.”
The workshop was organized by the Anticorruption Coalition of CSOs and the Armenian Young Lawyers Association NGO in cooperation with partners - RA Ministry of Justice, Transparency International Anticorruption Center and Freedom of Information Center. The event was funded by European Union and the OSCE Office in Yerevan and co-funded by Arthurs Aghveran Resort Company.
