"Akanates" Observation Mission

Description
The Akanates observation mission is monitoring electoral processes ahead of the June 7, 2026 elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The mission plans to observe not only election day, but also the pre-election period, including the campaign period, as well as post-election processes. The mission began its work from the moment the election date was announced.
Akanates has published a preliminary report presenting the results of its observation through May 5, 2026, prior to the official start of the election campaign.
The observation mission for the 2026 elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia is implemented with the financial support of the European Union, the German Marshall Fund of the United States’ Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF), the Embassy of Norway, the National Endowment for Democracy, the European Endowment for Democracy, and the Democracy Development Foundation.
