The training session by Basel Institute on Governance came to an end
On May 7-8 representatives of 23 civil society organizations from Armenia’s Marzes (provinces) and capital Yerevan underwent “Power and Influence Analysis: A corruption risk assessment methodology” training. Within the framework of “Engaged citizenry for responsible governance” project, funded by USAID and implemented by Transparency International Anticorruption Center, the two-day training was provided by trainees - Claudia Baez Camargo, Head of Governance Research and Franziska Stahl, Research Fellow of Basel Institute on Governance (BIG, Switzerland).
The training addressed essentials of qualitative research methodologies, background methods and activities for preparing sector studies, developing the interview questionnaire, guidelines on conducting the interviews, developing evidence-based anticorruption strategies, performing an accountability analysis, identifying the nature of the corruption risks, etc..
Trainees received Certificates of Participation at the end of the series of trainings.
Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) Public Organization in a consortium with Investigative Journalists NGO, Journalists’ Club “Asparez”, Civic Development and Partnership Foundation (CDPF), Basel Institute on Governance (BIG, Switzerland) and the European Center for Non-for-profit Law (ECNL, Hungary) implements USAID supported “Engaged citizenry for responsible governance” Project. The goal of the Project is to increase civic engagement in and oversight of reforms aimed at improving transparency and accountability of government actions and policies.
