TI as the fifth most influential (non-U.S.) think tank in the world
Transparency International (Germany) was ranked as the fifth most influential think tank among 100 in the world (outside the US) according to 2014 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, and the 12th Top Think Tanks Worldwide (U.S. and non-U.S.) among 150, issued by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) of the University of Pennsylvania. It also ranked the first in Top Transparency and Good Governance and the second in Best Advocacy Campaign think tanks (the first is Amnesty International, United Kingdom).
According to Top Think Tanks Worldwide (Non-U.S.) the organization ranked first is Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (United Kingdom); the second is Bruegel (Belgium); the next are Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sweden) and International Institute for Strategic Studies (United Kingdom).
The Global Go To Think Tank Index is the result of an international survey of over 1,950 scholars, public and private donors, policy makers, and journalists who helped rank more than 6,500 think tanks using a set of 18 criteria developed by the TTCSP.
