In partnership with Europe in Law Association, Helsinki Citizens Assembly Vanadzor Office and "Asparez" Journalists Club Transparency International Anticorruption Center will carry out election observation mission during Yerevan City Council Elections to be held on May 5, 2013 within the framework of "Public Oversight of Yerevan City Council Elections" project. Before the elections groups of observers undergo trainings on April 5, 11 and 14.

The training participants are provided with packages of necessary materials, including a manual for observer, instructions with description of election violations and "what to do" tips, observation report templates, etc.

The project goal is to promote free, fair and transparent elections. The project objectives embrace enhanced public participation in observation of electoral processes; evaluation of the quality of administration of Yerevan City Council elections, and activated law enforcement practices in detecting and punishing election violations.
