Sona Ayvazyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anticorruption Center participated in Regional Conference “Follow up to the recommendations of international Election Observation Missions in the countries of the Eastern Partnership” in Venice, Italy on 24 and 25 October 2016. She made presentation during plenary session “Co-operation between international and domestic election observation missions - challenges and perspectives in the XXI century.” The conference brought together representatives from national parliaments, electoral administration, media regulators and civil society organisations of the countries of the Eastern Partnership.

The aim of the Conference was to take stock of the situation with regard to the implementation of the recommendations of international Election Observation Missions in the countries of the Eastern Partnership in order to identify a system for their follow up including technical electoral assistance for each country individually and for the region as a whole.

The conference was organized in the context of the Programmatic Cooperation Framework, the European Union and Council of Europe joint program.
