Brief job description:
TIAC announces a job opening for Communications Coordinator who will be responsible for the management of communications and public outreach activities of the organization. The Communications Coordinator will directly report to Deputy Director of the organization.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and update public outreach strategy and communications plans and ensure their implementation
- Develop and communicate organization’s press releases, success stories, presentations and other relevant materials in user friendly formats
- Identify and suggest new ways and tools to make organization’s activities and products visible, and engage more users/followers through social media etc.
- Initiate and deliver presentations on the projects, products to relevant stakeholders and media
- Coordinate the key public events of the organization, developing promotional/informational materials
- Assist project teams in design and implementation of respective communications
- Ensure that organization’s website and social media channels are up to date in due and timely manner
- Ensure that organization’s annual report is developed and communicated to relevant stakeholders in due and timely manner
- Cooperate and maintain contacts with media to promote the coverage of organizations’ activities and products
- Supervise communications team (up to 2 members)
Required qualifications:
- Higher education in public relations, journalism or other related fields
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in project coordination/management
- Minimum 4 years’ work experience in public relations, communications and/or journalism or photo journalism
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, story-telling and presentation abilities
- Up-to date knowledge of recent developments and trends in social media
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (including PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.)
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or Photoshop
- Ability to develop info graphics and working experience with other visualization means will be an asset
- Excellent command of Armenian, English and Russian
- Creative, initiative and proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a multitask and stressful environment
