Transparency International Anti-corruption Center (TIAC) held a press conference on December 5, 2012 at Armenia Mariott Hotel to release Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2012. Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director of TIAC presented the updated methodology used to construct the CPI on a scale from 0 (perceived to be highly corrupt) to 100 (perceived to be very clean) instead of previously used 0 to 10 scale. Armenia's 2012 CPI score is equal to 34 (with this score it shares 105-112 places) among 176 countries ranked in the 2012 index score.
