In response to 1in.am Armenian news and analyses on-line's question whether or not charitable activities carried out before official electoral campaign should be regarded as illegal, Sona Ayvazyan, Chair of Transparency International Anti-corruption Center informed that even though it is absurd, charitable activities carried out by political parties before official election campaign are not regarded as illegal and therefore, cannot be qualified as violations.

Pursuant to law it is not allowed to distribute aid and carry out charities during official election campaign starting from April 8. However it turned out that everything is permissible before April 8 according to the language of law.
