Within the framework of Freedom of Information in the South Caucasus (Part I) program, Transparency International Anti-corruption Center (TIAC) partners with TI chapters of Georgia and Azerbaijan aimed to gather information on the current state of freedom of information in each of the republics. In the later phase TI Georgia will conduct a comprehensive comparative analysis of the state of freedom of information in the South Caucasus based on the provided data.

TIAC sent forty letters to inquire about a variety of area-specific issues from numerous government institutions. Thirty-six letters were responded in due time. Responses to four letters were delayed for different reasons, including from the employer's being on vacation to failure to discuss the matter with the head of the office.

See information on the project on Transparency International Anti-corruption Center's web page.
