Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) has published the report titled “Analysis of the Management System of Confiscated Illicitly Acquired Property in Armenia.”

The report aims to support the Government of the Republic of Armenia in improving the management mechanisms for assets frozen, seized, and confiscated in corruption-related cases, as well as assets recovered through proceedings targeting illicitly acquired property. The study assesses the existing legal framework and procedures, their compliance with international standards and best practices, and identifies existing problems and gaps.

The report presents a number of recommendations aimed at improving management efficiency, including the establishment of a specialized body, the introduction of a “smart confiscation” approach, the use of open data tools, and the promotion of the social reuse of confiscated property to ensure the protection of the public interest.
