Prior to the official launch of the "Akanates" observation mission, TIAC organized a three-day training session for the capacity building of long-term observers.

During the training, participants were introduced to the role and significance of elections in democratic systems, the stages of the electoral process, as well as the specific characteristics of organizing elections.

The discussions covered the governance and political systems, the electoral system, and the rights and responsibilities of the key actors involved in the electoral process.

Special attention was paid to the pre-election period and campaigning, manifestations of the potential misuse of administrative resources in electoral processes, as well as the topic of political financing.

We are confident that the acquired knowledge and skills will serve as an important foundation for the effective implementation of the upcoming work.

TIAC (Transparency International Anticorruption Center) wishes its long-term observers effective work, vigilance, and success during this responsible mission.

The observation mission is carried out with the financial support of the European Union and the German Marshall Fund of the United States - Transatlantic Foundation (GMF TF), as well as the Norwegian Embassy and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
