Highlights from the Armenia-Artsakh Civil Society Forum
The Armenia-Artsakh Civil Society Forum took place on March 1-2, 2024, organized by the Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center and the Civic Hub in Aghveran.
The opening speeches were delivered by Sona Ayvazyan, Executive Director of TIAC, and Gegham Stepanyan, Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, who addressed the current challenges facing Artsakh Armenians.
Yeghishe Kirakosyan, RA Representative on international legal issues, also was present, discussing legal processes related to the forced displacement of Artsakh's population, human rights violations, and the role of NGOs in addressing these issues.
Discussions focused on the integration of Artsakh residents into Armenian society, with particular attention to the role of media in this process.
The second day involved group discussions on the actions and agenda of Artsakh NGOs in the evolving situation.
The forum concluded with discussions on potential collaboration formats between Armenian and Artsakh NGOs.
