TIAC conducted a public discussion on the draft report titled "Evaluation of the external accountability mechanism based on the example of general education programs."

TIAC's Executive Director, Sona Ayvazyan, and the project manager, Gayane Baghdasaryan, opened the event by introducing the "Strengthening Accountability Networks among Civil Society (SANCUS) project. The public discussion, organized within this framework, highlighted the significance of the report in assessing the accountability mechanism.

Expert Hayk Bejanyan presented the report, focusing on the "Public Education" program, its budget, legislative mechanisms in the audit process, identified gaps, and the roles of the RA Government and the RA National Assembly in overseeing and ensuring accountability through audits.

The event concluded with a discussion of the report's recommendations, where representatives from various state bodies, sectoral media, and international organizations provided their observations and suggestions. Pertinent observations and recommendations will be incorporated into the forthcoming report, to be soon available on the TIAC website and Facebook page.
