Given the challenges that the Republic of Armenia is currently facing, it is crucial to address the issue of corruption within the defense sector and its detrimental impact on the army's defense capabilities.

On April 25, a discussion was held entitled "Corruption and the RA Defense System," where experts Armine Margaryan and Artak Kyrumyan engaged in a detailed conversation with young people on corruption risks in the security sector and gaps in democratic control over the armed forces.

During the discussion, particular emphasis was placed on the development of parliamentary oversight mechanisms over the armed forces, the elimination of abuses in the state procurement process within this sector, and the eradication of nepotism in the personnel policy of the armed forces. These were deemed critical steps toward improving transparency and accountability within the defense sector.

Anti-corruption educational programs are implemented with the support of the Swedish government.
