On November 11, TIAC's 6th anti-corruption school has been launched. TIAC's Anticorruption Education team has carefully selected 27 best candidates out of 163 applicants who applied this year. The age of the participants varies in the range of 20-33.

At the opening ceremony of the 6th anti-corruption school, Karolina Jozic, Head of Swedish development cooperation in Armenia and Armen Ohanyan, Chairman of the PEN Center of Armenia and the President of TIAC Board welcomed the participants.

Mrs. Jozic emphasized the role of the fight against corruption in strengthening democracy, once again reaffirming that Sweden is committed to support Armenia in further democratic development and promotion of anti-corruption reforms. Armen Ohanyan reflected on TIAC’s 20-year history and fight against corruption. In his speech, he addressed the participants as future leaders of the anti-corruption fight, who should contribute to the strengthening of the still fragile Armenian democracy.

After the official launch of the school, Mariam Hoveyan, the coordinator of TIAC educational projects presented the main directions and activities of the organization while highlighting the importance of anti-corruption education and especially work with young people.

During the training course, participants will thoroughly study about corruption, its causes and types, corruption risks in political, economic, social areas and their consequences, anti-corruption methods and other topics. Participants will as well gain knowledge on critical and analytical thinking and will develop leadership skills.
