On December 20-21 a roundtable “Supporting Transparency in Iraq: A Reflection and Coordination Dialogue” took place in Erbil, Iraq. The event was organized by International Republican Institute’s Center for Global Impact with the help of the Iraqi field team.

Sona Ayvazyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anticorruption Center took part in the panel discussion via Skype on December 21 and presented the experience of Armenian civil society in the fight against corruption before and after the Armenian revolution of 2018.

The objective of the roundtable was to share expertise in the anti-corruption efforts with the Iraqi participants, who had the opportunity to hear directly from Armenian CSO activists involved in the civil society response to grand corruption issues and posed questions to the presenters. Armenian participants in turn had a chance to get the Iraqi vision of the fight against corruption.
