Political analyst Armen Grigoryan was a guest at Armenia's Public Radio's "Status Quo". He believes that democracy is the best model for development. Most of the challenges we face can be solved only through democracy. In Armenia most of the populous is dissatisfied with the government. According to Grigoryan, in order to exhaust the dissatisfaction the government rather than keeping a 30 thousand member police force to keep the public from challenging the its power, can have democratic elections, thus a legitimately attained power. In that case there will not be anyone challenging the government on the streets. If there were democratic elections, there would not be a Sasna Tsrer movement.

Local elections are a test for all subjects in the sense that everyone is preparing for the 2017 elections. The April war, the Sasna Tsrer incident, the lack of long-term economic growth and stagnation, bring into question whether the government can guarantee its power with the previous version of elections. For civil society and political parties it is an opportunity to commit to democracy, to have free and transparent elections by means of public oversight, resulting in the formation of local government. The Sasna Tsreer incident enumerated that if the systematic recession is not solved, society will constantly be in a crisis; the government is capable of establishing a certain behavior for the elections.
