Presentation on “The ethics for local government officials and anticorruption measures”
On June 21-23, 2016 Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anticorruption Center, took part in “Community Councillors: Key Actors of Local Democratic Governance” workshop and made a presentation on “The ethics of local government officials and anticorruption measures,” addressing European principals of political integrity, and the situation in Armenia, including the legislation and practice of the sphere, European code of conduct of local and regional elected representatives.
The workshop was organized within the program “Strengthening local elected representatives’ leadership” of the project “Support to consolidating local democracy in Armenia,” implemented by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, funded by the Government of Denmark.
