Young people can play a pivotal role in the fight against corruption. Therefore, on June 26-27, 2015 Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC), in cooperation with School for Young Leaders, hosted an interactive training “Fighting Corruption and Youth.” The training aimed to provide knowledge on corruption and anti-corruption struggle and create an atmosphere of intolerance of corruption. Nearly 15 young people of different professions underwent the training. Besides acquiring theoretical knowledge they were actively involved in various discussions, debates and roleplaying based on real life situations. By applying numerous methods, the training enabled the participants to understand how to fight corruption in various situations.

  • Types of corruption, its causes and consequences
  • Corruption studies
  • Key component in the fight against corruption
  • Corruption and Armenia’s fight against corruption
  • Anticorruption strategies
  • Anticorruption bodies
  • International obligations/commitments
  • Regulation of conflict of interest

The lead trainer was Tatevik Barseghyan, TIAC Project Assistant. It was organized by “Engaging civil society in monitoring conflict of interests in Eastern Partnership countries” project supported by the European Commission, through Transparency International Moldova. The trainees were granted certificates at the end of the training.
