Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) Public Organization in a consortium with Investigative Journalists NGO, Journalists’ Club “Asparez”, Civic Development and Partnership Foundation (CDPF), Basel Institute on Governance (BIG, Switzerland) and the European Center for Non-for-profit Law (ECNL, Hungary) implements USAID supported “Engaged citizenry for responsible governance” Project. The goal of the Project is to increase civic engagement in and oversight of reforms aimed at improving transparency and accountability of government actions and policies.

Within the framework of the project Transparency International Anticorruption Center Public Organization and Basel Institute on Governance call for civil society representatives and active citizens interested in governance transparency and accountability to participate in trainings on the following themes:

  • Participatory methods of public policy monitoring and advocacy (May 4-6, 2015)
  • Methods of assessing corruption risks in public projects/initiatives (May 7-8, 2015)

Eligible participants are requested to fill in the attached application form for the following trainings. The deadline for acceptance of applications is 10:00 am on April 28.

Based on applications CSO representatives will be selected according to the following criteria:

  • The organization’s areas of expertise in public policy monitoring, research and advocacy processes
  • The organization’s forthcoming plans in application of knowledge acquired during the training
  • The organization’s willingness/opportunity and participant’s ability in sharing knowledge with other CSOs and active civic groups.

Twenty participants, no more than one person from each organization will be selected to participate in each of the trainings. Due to the acquired knowledge the CSOs and their representatives who participated in the training will later have an opportunity to realize their ideas through small grants.
