AR television’s “Azdarar” news program addressed the amended version of the draft Law on Public Organizations of Armenia. After the draft law was developed in October 2014 and was presented to public, NGOs voiced their concerns regarding several aspects, one of which is that rather than to regulate it oversees their activities. The draft later underwent several revisions. The representative of RA Ministry of Justice thinks that the new draft law defines more advantages than the law in effect. Whereas the public sector has different approaches toward it, yet in general it does not satisfy them all. According to Heriknaz Tigranyan the primary concern was justified and quite appropriate, since strict requirements of publicity and accountability were set. However the initial version was revised.
