“Citizen Observer” Initiative, whose aim is to promote protection of electoral right and holding free, fair and transparent elections in Armenia, applied to all political parties and blocs running for National Assembly in the upcoming parliamentary elections calling to join their efforts in the oversight of legality of the electoral process.

“Citizen Observer” Initiative is planning to carry out unprecedentedly large-scale election observation mission in April 2017 parliamentary elections by overseeing at least 1500 polling stations. Should the political parties and blocs give agreement to cooperate, the Initiative is ready to discuss the means of possible cooperation, share the tools and methods developed by it for prevention of irregularities and electoral fraud, as well as provide legal assistance on the voting day and in post-election processes.

“Citizen Observer” Initiative will also provide information on the follow-up actions.

“Citizen Observer” Initiative was created in 2013. Currently the Initiative is comprised of three organizations: Europe in Law Association, Transparency International Anticorruption Center and Journalists’ Club “Asparez”.
