Draft revised strategy for public finance management system reforms was discussed

On February 18, 2014 Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anticorruption Center participated in preliminary discussion on draft Revised Strategy package for Public Finance Management System Reforms, approved by Armenia’s Government in 2010.  The package was developed at the initiative of RA Ministry of Finance within the framework of technical assistance provided by European Union. The preliminary discussion brought together representatives of government institutions as well as interested NGOs and international partner organizations.

Stakeholders’ recommendations, possibilities of incorporating them into the package, as well as further assistance for public finance management system reforms to RA Government by international partner organizations were discussed during the meeting.  An agreement was reached to continue cooperation with experts of EU technical assistance group in amending the package and presenting its final draft to interested stakeholders.
