Proceedings initiated by Ethics Commission for High Ranking Officials based on the application of Transparency International Anti-corruption Center ended on May 3, 2013. It referred to checking allegation on Government-affiliated State Revenue Committee Head Gagik Khachatryans engagement in entrepreneurial activities or conflict of interest situation in fulfilling his official duties as government office holder. The Commission made a decision confirming a conclusion that as a result of examination, it had not found anything mentioned in the application to substantiate the allegations that Gagik Khachatryan, the Head of State Revenue Committee was in conflict of interest situation regarding the mentioned companies.

Meanwhile, the Commission came to the following conclusion regarding Apeyron LLC (food import) and Megafood LLC (food import and industry). Should he act or make a decision within his jurisdiction, which despite being lawful, leads or contributes or might lead or contribute, to the improvement of proprietary or legal situation of the mentioned companies, Gagik Khachatryan, Head of State Revenue Committee must make a statement on the conflict of interests in advance or receive the Commissions clarification on the necessity to make a statement on the conflict of interests.

As a reminder, Transparency International Anti-corruption Center applied to the Commission, requesting it to clarify whether the information reported in media conform to reality and whether there was possible conflict of interest situation regarding Gagik Khachatryans relation with a number of companies. The names of the companies are as follows: AlexServ LLC, Apeyron LLC, Megafood LLC, Galaxy Supermarket, Megamotors LLC, Santa Fe outdoor cafe, Galaxy bread factory, Megasport outdoor gear/sporting goods chain store, Chronograph watches and jewelry boutique, Chimeg LLC, Ucom telecommunication company.
