It is the ruling government, in the face of the prime minister, ministers and the heads of the government-affiliated bodies, which is responsible for the poverty, unemployment, injustice and emigration in Armenia in the recent years. In some cases failure to properly govern the government departments they head was accompanied with instances of corruption and improper attitude by officials, thus increasing peoples dissatisfaction in view of 2013 presidential elections in Armenia.

"Operation "Self-cleansing anticorruption campaign"" requires that Serzh Sargsyans proposed Republic of Armenia government structure be composed of government members who are not discredited for corruption scandals or improper behavior and cynicism.

In a democratic state the authorities are formed by the people and the people who hold their positions at the expense of tax-payers should display proper behavior and be accountable to the public.

"Operation "Self-cleansing" "initiative is presented by Transparency International Anti-corruption Center (TIAC) along with "Asparez" Journalists Club, Helsinki Citizens Assembly Vanadzor Office and Armenian Helsinki Committee.
