TIAC conducts research on labor protection oversight bodies, presenting the standards and requirements of the International Labor Organization and the best practices of different countries: the United States, France, Poland, Greece, China and Germany. The International Labor Organization, a specialized agency for labor relations regulation at the United Nations, has adopted a number of criteria for the labor inspectorate.

Although the criteria and the proposed toolkit are the same, the approaches of the countries are different, depending on the specifics of the country and the existing problems in the field. According to the study, in a number of countries, trade unions play a major role in the protection of labor rights, which is also a major factor in politics. Among those countries are Germany, USA, France, Poland. In particular, in Germany, in Poland, trade unions have always played an active role, even initiating revolutions.
