Highlighting the importance of young people in the fight against corruption, on November 12, 2019, Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) today launched a two-month long internship program that aims to provide young people with the knowledge and toolset related to the sector of public administration as well as the detection of corruption risks in normative legal acts.

13 students from the law departments of the Russian-Armenian University, American University of Armenia, Yerevan State University and the Public Administration Academy of Armenia are participating in the project. The participants are keen on contributing to the improvement of legislation, public administration sector and the fight against corruption.

The internship comprises of two phases:

  • Phase one will include short lectures/trainings that will render theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas of public administration, legislation, development of legal acts and identification of corruption risks therein.
  • Phase 2 will consist of practical activities, during which the participants will apply the acquired knowledge for the analysis of the legislative framework of public administration, legal acts as well as legal practice. The activities foreseen for this phase will take place under the guidance of a mentor.
