As per request of Secretariat for Anti-Corruption Network ‎for transition economies (ACN), Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Center for Regional Development/Transparency International Armenia (CRD/TI Armenia) organized a meeting with local NGOs on September 27, 2006, in "Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan". The meeting was aimed at discussing implementation of Armenia's obligations within ACN Istanbul Action Plan.

About 20 participants from Armenian NGO sector and 6 experts of OECD ACN monitoring team participated at the event. Amalia Kostanyan, Chairwoman of CRD/TI Armenia, presented a current situation of anti-corruption activities being implemented in Armenia and international anti-corruption obligations of the country. Olga Savran, OECD ACN manager introduced Istanbul Action Plan and members of the monitoring team.

Experts were interested in opinions of participating NGO representatives regarding transparency of public sector, anti-corruption institutions and anti-corruption legislation. Local participants answered the questions asked by experts and shared their concerns about poor law enforcement in Armenia, ineffective fulfillment of international obligations of the country and other related issues.
