The staff of Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) underwent a training “Monitoring with the TI Impact Matrix” on November 2 and 3, 2015. It was facilitated by Daniela Werner, TI Secretariat’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator. The training aimed at introducing participants to the impact monitoring approach and the practical Transparency International (TI) Monitoring Guide. Monitoring using the TI impact matrix is a highly flexible approach that can be applied in a diverse range of conditions, irrespective of whether an existing monitoring and evaluation system is in place.

The objectives of the training included understanding main terms and concepts associated with implementing effective MEL systems, understanding key elements of TI’s new approach to monitoring impact, using the TI impact matrix as a monitoring tool in their own projects and initiatives, identifying how to integrate accountability and learning into their work processes.
