Initiated by Teghut Defense Group, SOS Teghut awareness bike tour brought together 40 citizens, including 25 bikers to take part in a trip to Teghut. The action aimed at focusing the Armenian public on the destructive consequences of the exploitation of Teghut copper molybdenum mine. The project approved by the Armenian government, is being implemented by Armenia Copper Program (ACP).

On the first day the participants in the action stopped in Vanadzor where "Scream" rock group gave a concert in protection of Teghut. On the second day of the trip the participants disseminated press publications to the residents of Vanadzor on the negative impact of the exploitation of the mine, as well as distributed leaflets to suspend the operation of the Teghut mine. They arrived in the town of Alaverdi where they organized a short-term protest action in front of ACP administrative building and disseminated the materials. From Alaverdi they moved to Teghut where they held an open air discussions with the local population. The inhabitants of the neighboring Shnogh village joined the action. The participants in the trip returned to Yerevan on May 11.

Representatives of NGOs of Public Environmental Alliance, individual citizens, as well as MP Z. Postanjyan together with her 5-year-old daughter took part in the event. TIAC executive director Sona Ayvazyan was among the organizers of the event.
