On September 16, 2015 Heriknaz Tigranyan, Legal Adviser of Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) was the guest of "A1 +" television "P.S." show. She addressed constitutional amendments, its substantiation, threats, by presenting the organization’s standpoints on amendments to constitution. The lawfulness and argumentation of the proposed drastic amendments to constitution are not justified, since no convincing argument is presented on the fact that the constitution in force is outdated and that there is necessity to pass to other governance system. TIAC does not want to legitimize the process. As a result of saying “yes” to constitutional amendments we might have lesser democracy. If both in national and local government levels lesser elections are conducted in Armenia and elections are a way of people’s participation in government, there will be less participatory governance which will break off people-government relations and eventually bring to alienation between them.
