On October 31, Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) organized a discussion on the "Current Issues in Legislation and Practices Related to Property Expropriation for Public Interest in Armenia."

The event gathered representatives of executive and judicial bodies, civil society, international organizations, and the media, as well as citizens whose rights have been infringed upon during the expropriation process. Key issues in the sector were identified, and proposals were presented for legislative and practical improvements.

The discussion provided an important platform to bring together the perspectives of key stakeholders and to focus on the need for improvements in this area, aligning with the 2023-2025 action plan under Armenia’s National Strategy for the Protection of Human Rights.
