The presence of shelters and hiding places remains one of the most pressing concerns within the Vardenis community. Located on the border, Vardenis has been particularly vulnerable to security issues, notably during the Armenian-Azerbaijani border clashes in 2020 and continuing into 2021-2023, including the Artsakh conflict.

In response to the community's exposure to these dangers, the active youth of Vardenis have taken the initiative. They strive to actively participate in local governance and decision-making processes to ensure the safety of the community's inhabitants.

Motivated by a shared vision of being well-informed, organized, and prepared to respond swiftly in times of emergency, these young individuals are dedicated to spreading knowledge and ability to organize promptly forging close partnerships with relevant authorities.

To accomplish their mission, the "Where is our shelter" information campaign was launched in collaboration between TIAC and the Martuni Women's Community Council NGO, actively engaging the dynamic youth of Vardenis.

By initiating this campaign, the youth of Vardenis is unwavering in their commitment to equipping their community with the necessary information to ensure its safety. Their ultimate goal is to foster a resilient community that can effectively address any potential crisis that may arise.
