Adaption of a Comprehensive Health Insurance System
Considering the various expert and public interpretations of the comprehensive health insurance adoption concept since 2019, it is valuable to clarify public perceptions on the topic through discussions.
For this purpose, on January 24, a public discussion on “Adaption of a comprehensive health insurance system in the context of health system preparedness and financial-economic obligations” was held․
The discussion launched with the comprehensive presentation of the concept by expert Samvel Kharazyan. Then Vahe Ter-Minasyan moderated the discussion during which participants highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of the project in terms of improving public health, presenting their concerns and suggestions.
The Yerevan discussion is implemented within the framework of the “Participatory Democracy in Action” project funded by the EU. The project is implemented within the partnership of Transparency International Anti Corruption Center (TIAC), “Political Dialogue,” and “Martuni Women Community Council” NGOs.
