On December 15, Responsible mining policy forum took place at the Ani Grand Hotel in Yerevan organized by the Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center within the framework of the USAID-supported "Engaged Citizenry for Responsible Governance" project.

Sona Ayvazyan gave an interview within the scope of the forum. According to her the field of mining is one of the most multi-layered, so far there is no progress in terms of support to the affected communities, reduction of environmental and health damages, preservation of historical and cultural heritage. TIAC is hopeful that the newly developed strategy will address the existing problems and will be able to balance the existing interests, giving priority to the public interest.
