Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anticorruption Center participated in 2016 Open Government Partnership (OGP) Asia Pacific Regional Dialogue in Manila, Philippines on July 21-22, 2016. It brought together representatives of 100 government and civil society representatives from over a dozen countries to address pressing issues in their forthcoming 2016-2018 OGP National Action Plans. The objectives of the workshop were to create space for countries to share experiences and learn from each other, present and get feedback on the new National Action Plans, identify requests for support, tied to the Action Plans.

The discussions covered a range of diverse topics, including open data, fiscal and legislative openness, openness in natural resources, public service delivery, governance openness to address the Sustainable Development Goals, and strengthening implementation and monitoring of open government initiatives to deliver better results.
