The proceedings of criminal case against attorney Tigran Hayrapetyan was quashed. On August 18, 2015, 26 civil society organizations disseminated a statement on criminal case initiated by Special Investigation Service (SIS) against attorney Tigran Hayrapetyan. They demanded that prosecution against Tigran Hayrapetyan be immediately stopped, the investigator (group of investigators, prosecutor) that made a decision to initiate a criminal case be brought to justice and the public be informed on the results.

According to news release of the Investigative Committee, issued on August 25 as a result of comprehensive and objective investigation of the criminal case conducted in the Investigative Division of Yerevan’s Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of RA Investigative Committee a decision was made to quash the criminal case initiated by Special Investigatory Service, stipulated by Part 2 of Article 332 of RA Criminal Code (Any intervention into the activities of the prosecutor, investigator or the person in charge of inquiry, with the purpose of hindrance to the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case) and not to carry out criminal prosecution against attorney Tigran Hayrapetyan on grounds of absence of corpus delicti.
