Because of a misprint Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC sent a new, updated application to Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) to increase the current tariff for electricity by 17 AMD. To Radio Liberty’s remark that the reference information submitted to PSRC had mentioned that ENA was to pay 57 thousand AMD for 1kg cement despite the fact that it was sold for a thousand times cheaper price in market Natalia Sarajyan, Head of the PR and Media Relations Department said that it was due to a technical misprint. “It was a misprint. It was written “cement” instead of having written “equipment and other corresponding materials, including cement,” Sarajyan said. Whereas according to Artak Manukyan, Procurement Expert of Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) the sole fact that ENA did not provide detailed account of how it should spend its billions of drams testify of corruption.
