Sona Ayvazyan, Deputy Director of Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) participated in the first global, 2015 Membership Gathering of the Bank on Human Rights Coalition (BHRC), held in Johannesburg, South Africa from February 5 to 7, 2015. The Gathering brought together BHRC members, including civil society, activists and representatives from community organizations and allies from different regions and sectors. They discussed relationship building, issue analysis, and strategic planning regarding human rights and development finance.

The BHRC was launched in April 2014 to support global action to make sure that development finance institutions, such as the World Bank, the African Development Bank and other regional banks, respect, protect, and fulfil human rights. Since then, the Coalition has grown to nearly 50 members, spanning diverse sectors and regions. TIAC is a member of the BHRC since August 2014.
