Tough guys may also change political party affiliation Notorious criminal authority Bldi residing in Charbakh neighborhood of Yerevans Shengavit administrative district took money from the Republican Party of Armenia to vote bribe, however, because of a certain disagreement as regards his share he changed his political party affiliation. A couple of days before voting he joined the Prosperous Armenia Party, however the authorities did not forgive him for such a behavior and arrested Bldi. May 8 issue of "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily reflected on quick disappearance of ink in voters passport stamps soon after voting. According to the Electoral Code, it should have remained for at least 12 hours after stamping to prevent balloting by the same voter in other polling station; however, it disappeared even in 15 minutes after balloting. Warnings on quick disappearance of ink in voters passport stamps were received from Yerevan and other cities and towns of Armenia, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Hrazdan, Meghri, etc. The correspondent of the same newspaper reported on vote bribing in Shirak province, stating the exact address where votes were bought. Afterward busloads of Gazels took voters to certain precincts to poll. Instances of vote bribing inside vehicles were also recorded both in Gyumri and in the area of Yerevans 7/23 polling station.
