CRD/TI Armenia's annual Award for "The Outstanding Contribution to the Anti-Corruption Movement in Armenia"

On July 30, 2003 CRD/TI Armenia instituted its annual Award for "The Outstanding Contribution to the Anti-Corruption Movement in Armenia". The Award aims to recognize the representatives of the state institutions, business sector, NGOs, media and international organizations, who have shown genuine commitment, consistency and enthusiasm in the fight against corruption. Through this Award CRD/TI Armenia expresses its high appreciation to the individuals and organizations whose courage,d etermination and dedication can serve as a motivation for others in combating corruption in the country.

2005 Award

CRD/TI Armenia granted its 2005 Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Anti-Corruption Movement in Armenia to Hayk Gevorgyan, Journalist of "Haykakan Zhamanak" newspaper. The ceremony was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel Yerevan during the "Introducing the Polish System of Counteracting Corruption" final meeting on December 12, 2005.

2004 Award

CRD/TI Armenia granted its 2004 Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Anti-Corruption Movement in Armenia to Edik Baghdasaryan, President of "Armenian Association of Investigative Journalists". The awards ceremony was held at the Armenia Marriott Hotel during the Transparency International Europe and Central Asia Meeting "Building Good Governance through Transparency and Participation" on June 18, 2004.

2003 Award

CRD/TI Armenia granted its first, 2003 Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Anti-Corruption Movement in Armenia during opening ceremony of "National Anti-Corruption Resource Center" on July 31, 2003 to Mr. Roy Reeve, OSCE Ambassador in Armenia in 2000-2003. For the last three years, Ambassador Reeve coordinated the donor's activities through the Anti-Corruption Joint Task Force, contributed to the promotion of civil society activities, supported the efforts of the National Anti-Corruption NGO Coalition, and played a key role in the development of the anti-corruption agenda in the country.
