Ethics Committee Members

The Ethics Committee is responsible for the oversight over the violations of Code of Conduct, conflict management and ethical issues by the members, staff members and volunteers. It consists of two individual members of the organization and one staff member, who are elected by the General Meeting for three terms period.

Artur Grigoryan

Artur Grigoryan  

Artur  has become a member of the ethics committe from 30.09.2019, he's been a TIAC member since 2012.

Artur Grigoryan holds MA degree from the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University

He specializes in the area of the environmental law, conducting number of studies on the evaluation of ecosystem services, participatory democracy, and the legal process of non-governmental organizations.

He mainly deals with environmental, health and other issues arising as a result of the exploitation of natural resources, while revealing corruption risks inherent in that field.

From June 2018 to January 2019, Artur Grigoryan supervised activites of the RA Environmental Inspection Body

 

Varuzhan Hoktanyan

Varuzhan Hoktanyan  

Varuzhan has become a TIAC Ethics committee member since 28.08. 2020, and has been a TIAC member since 2000.

.Varuzhan Hoktanyan joined TIAC in 2002 as public policy expert. From 2009 to September 2016 he was the Executive Director of the organization. Currently he works as Project Director, who is responsible for managing the organization’s public procurement and election related projects, etc. He is the key expert of public procurement and anti-corruption policy in TIAC.

Before joining TIAC’s team, Varuzhan worked as a researcher in Yerevan Physics Institute, research associate at the Center for Policy Analysis of the American University of Armenia and research assistant in The University of Texas at Dallas.

Varuzhan graduated from the Department of Physics of the Yerevan State University, and then post-graduate studies in high energy and elementary particle physics of the Yerevan Physics Institute with the status of All But Dissertation (ABD). Later he received his Master of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations at the American University of Armenia. He also holds a Master degree in Public Affairs of the School of Social Sciences of The University of Texas at Dallas. Varuzhan is the author and co-author of more than 15 publications.  

 

 

Lana Karlova

Lana Karlova  

Lana has become a member of ethics committee since 30.09.2019, she's been a TIAC member since 2008.

Lana Karlova is a Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia.

Before that, she has been in charge of the coordination of the Tempus programme that provides EU grants for Higher education institutions and has been responsible for supporting institutions in implementation of joint international projects and promoting Bologna reforms.

She graduated from American University of Armenia and holds Master degree in Political Science and External Affairs (1996). Before she graduated from Yerevan State University and holds Master degree in Russian Language and Literature (1986).
