Monitoring of Procurement by Armenian Public Entities in 2015-2016

Description: The goal of the project is to contribute in the formulation and implementation of effective anti-corruption policies in Armenia through promoting transparent and accountable management of public finances and loans and credits received by the Armenian Government from foreign countries and international organizations. The monitoring results may be used to advocate for improvements in the prevention of corruption and enhancing efficiency in the procurement by Armenian public entities and for litigation initiated in cases of direct evidence of corruption or other regulatory violations.
Results: Improved understanding of corruption risks by relevant stakeholders; raised awareness of stakeholders through exposure to monitoring results via the mass media by signaling wrong behavior and providing advice/opportunity for improving performance; improved cooperation among stakeholders of the procurement by public entities; increased commitment and engagement of decision-makers to address identified deficiencies and corruption risks in public procurement.
