On June 23-24, 2017, an impact mapping and planning workshop was held in Aghveran for USAID funded “Engaged Citizenry for Responsible Governance” project’s midterm evaluation and planning its 2018 activity. The project is conducted by Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC) in partnership with consortium members - Journalists’ Club “Asparez,” Investigative Journalists NGO, European Center for Non-Commercial Law (Hungary), Civic Development and Partnership Foundation and Basel Institute on Governance (Switzerland) (presently the latter two have ceased their activities).

In her opening and welcome remarks TIAC Executive Director Sona Ayvazyan introduced the purpose of the workshop and “Engaged Citizenry for Responsible Governance” project. TIAC’s Human Resources and Organizational Development Coordinator Christine Margaryan presented the program’s evaluation tool, the Transparency International global movement’s Impact Matrix by providing a short guideline and overview on it.

With the help of the presented tool the implementing partner and subgrantee organizations mapped out and evaluated the improvements according to the program’s goals and challenges. Afterward, the participants in the retreat presented the lessons learnt according to each group and wrapped up and planned the project’s work for 2018.
