The Transparency International Amalia Award recognizes and celebrates professional excellence and innovation within the Transparency International movement. It is being established following approval of a resolution at the 2010 Bangkok Annual Membership Meeting as a counterpart to the Integrity Awards. Launched in 2000, TI Integrity Awards honor exceptional individuals outside of the TI movement. The award will be administered by the TI Integrity Awards committee. The first TI Amalia Awards will be presented at a ceremony at TI’s next Annual Membership Meeting in Malaysia. Nominations for are open in May and and will remain open until 30 June 2015. The winners will be invited to the TI Annual Membership Meeting in Malaysia where the awards will be presented.

There are two categories of award: Impact and Professional Excellence. Staff, board members and volunteers of National Chapters, Individual Members, and staff at the TI secretariat are all eligible for an award. National Chapters, Individual Members, and the TI secretariat can make one nomination each per award category.
