The first in a series of meetings to present the findings of CRD/TI Armenia's survey on "2006 Corruption Perception in Armenia" took place in Ashtarak on April 5. It was convened within the framework of a UNDP project on "Strengthening Awareness and Response in Exposure of Corruption in Armenia." Keynoted by CRD/TI Armenia NGO Chairwoman Amalia Kostanyan, the presentation triggered active discussion among provincial officials, NGO activists and members of the media community on their respective roles in exposure to and struggle against corruption.

Apart from Aragatsotn, the project anticipates additional meetings with representatives of Lori, Shirak, Kotayk, Gegharkunik and Armavir Provinces, Yerevan State University, as well as a network of 66 regional journalists involved in UNDP anti-corruption project.
