Election postman: Community infrastructures
"Election postman" project inaugurated a series of shows to reveal issues/concerns of communal and national importance. The first show of the series, which was broadcast on "Yerkir Media" television company, brought together Vazgen Safaryan of Communist Party of Armenia, Artur Misakyan of Rule of Law Party and Arman Musheghyan representing Heritage. The participants in this show answered a set of questions raised by the residents of Armenia on community infrastructures and, guided by their political party programs, attempted to develop possible solutions to the questions posed.
The show raises a number of questions addressing the most pressing issues affecting rural and urban population in Armenia, such as:
- The roads are destroyed in villages. Why? When will they be paved with asphalt?
- Public transport is overburdened and the drivers are ignorant of codes of conduct. What would you suggest to solve this problem?
- Why do they destroy the public parks and build shops and banks for themselves? When will these all end up?
- Isn't it possible for the Government to provide apartments to needy families having many children and invalids?
- Why aren't there more kindergartens? What happened to our kindergartens? The population has decreased over the past few years, hasn't it?
- Housing conditions of schools are pretty bad. Why aren't there sufficient means to repair them, while the officials travel by million-dollar cars?
