Amalia Kostanyan, Chairwoman of Transparency International Anti-corruption Center made presentation during a panel on human rights and civil society at a seminar held in Brussels on June 9, 2010. The panel addressed political corruption, human rights breaches, civil society and government cooperation, as well as media issues. Organized by the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, the event brought together leading Armenian human rights advocates and political analysts to share expert analyses on the challenges faced by Armenia.

Other panelists at human rights and civil society session were Larisa Minasyan, Executive Director of Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation-Armenia and Boris Navasardyan, President of Yerevan Press Club. Speakers Stepan Grigoryan of the Analytical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation, Alexander Iskandaryan of Caucasus Institute, Richard Giragosyan of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies and Tevan Poghosyan of the International Center for Human Development tackled geopolitical situation, focusing on Russia and Azerbaijan relations as regards to conflict on Nagorno Karabakh, pragmatic policies vs. historical limitations: analyzing Armenian-Turkish relations and Eastern Partnership, respectively.

The seminar was followed by the screening of Sergei Parajanov's "Color of the Pomegranate".
